10.1 Connect R2 to SW4
Cable: Copper Straight-Through
Ports:
- R2 → GigabitEthernet0/1
- SW4 → FastEthernet0/1
This creates the branch LAN gateway.
10.2 Connect Branch PCs to SW4
Use Copper Straight-Through:
- PC4 → SW4 Fa0/2
- PC6 → SW4 Fa0/3
(Any free FastEthernet ports are fine.)
🧠 What this completes conceptually
After this step:
City A (HQ) ===== WAN ===== City B (Branch)
- City A: users, servers, Wi-Fi
- City B: users
- Routing between cities will now make sense later
