Step 8B — Connect Server to SW3

Step 8C — Connect Wireless Router (WRT300N) to SW3
Important: use the Internet port on the wireless router.

Step 8D — Place Laptop (NO cable)
- Place Laptop-PT near the wireless router
- Do NOT connect any cable
- We’ll connect it later via Wi-Fi (SSID)
✅ What you should have now
- SW2: PCs connected
- SW3: Server + Wireless router connected
- All devices physically cabled
- Some links may be red/amber → normal

❌ No VLANs
❌ No routing
❌ No wireless config

STEP 8 — Connect End Devices (Build only)
8.1 Connect PCs to SW2 (Access switch – users)
Cable: Copper Straight-Through
- PC1 FastEthernet0 → SW2 FastEthernet0/1
- PC2 FastEthernet0 → SW2 FastEthernet0/2
Click-by-click (for each PC):

8.2 Connect Server to SW3
Cable: Copper Straight-Through
- Server FastEthernet0 → SW3 FastEthernet0/2
8.3 Connect Wireless Router to SW3
IMPORTANT: use the Internet port on the wireless router.
Cable: Copper Straight-Through
- Wireless Router (WRT300N) Internet → SW3 FastEthernet0/3
8.4 Place Laptop (NO cable)
- Place Laptop-PT near the wireless router
- Do not connect any cable
- Wi-Fi will be done later
✅ When STEP 8 is complete, you should have:
- PCs connected to SW2
- Server + Wireless router connected to SW3
- Laptop not cabled
- No IPs, no VLANs, no routing yet
